Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: Wyatt
Breed: English Setter/Beagle mix
Age: Young Adult
Gender: Male
Wyatt is a lost sad soul who was picked up as a stray and not reclaimed. Poor guy not only had being a large mixed breed as a strike against him for adoption, but he was quiet, so passed by. Add in heartworm positive and he really needed help. Luckily his shelter advocate really worked hard to find him a rescue since she was taken with his sweet, gentle, good natured demeanor. Wyatt is a laid back dog who gets along easily with cats, dogs and kids. He works hard to do the right thing and keep his people happy, and overall is one of the easiest dogs experienced shelter staff have ever met. He'll need the house training finished, is learning to be crated for the workday, and loves walks. Since he's lived in a rural area we are looking for a house with a yard from his adopters.
This HHK9 canine has tested positive for a heartworm or tick borne disease and treatment will be done through our vet before an adoption is finalized, so that we can do our part to ensure a healthy happy dog joins your home. Heartworm treatment consists of a 2 day treatment at the vet followed by 4 weeks of restricted activity, and placement timing is on an individual case by case at the comfort level of the foster and adopter. Tick diseases are treated through oral antibiotics sent home with an adopter by the rescue.
Requirements: House with a yard
You can email kladams4545@gmail.com with questions and for a preadopt application. This dog has been spayed/neutered, vaccinated as age appropriate, tested for heartworm disease if age appropriate, and dewormed.
