My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is a cute little guy who, once he gets to know you smiles and furiously wags his little tail. He is a Rat Terrier /Pomeranian mix who was born in 2009. He is neutered and current on vaccinations. Max came to be in rescue after getting nippy with the former owners children so he would probably do best in a home without young children. Max is potty trained and crate trained. Max lived with cats, however occasionally chases shy cats who will run. Max was never socialized with other dogs in his former life however, he is currently being fostered with 4 large breed dogs and he is doing very well learning to be a respectful memeber of the pack. He is currently not allowed on the couch and is learning to sit before he eats and wait before going outside. Max is a little chubby so he is on a diet and getting daily walks where he is learning to heel on leash. After a little practice, he has become a perfect gentleman on the leash and he LOVES his walks! Max knows basic commands, however he would benefit from an obedience class for some confidence building and to help him bond with his new family.
