Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Finnick has been through a lot in his life. What this 7-year-old Weimaraner/Mastiff mix needs now is a warm bed and a family to love and protect him. This always smiling fellow has so much love to give in return. Finnick was found as a stray, neglected, starving and alone; he was one of the most malnourished dogs we have ever seen. It was touch and go for a while, but since coming to The Pet Rescue Center, Finnick’s health and spirits have improved so much. With regular feeding, care and tons of affection from our staff and volunteers he has managed to gain most of his weight back. Finnick has fairly low energy and does not require a ton of exercise, just regular walks and lots of quality time with his people. He would do well in a quiet home, he is already leash and potty trained. Because he was abandoned and alone for so long he occasionally experiences bouts of insecurity that will be helped by having a calm and large-breed experienced person to rely on. He seems to do well with smaller, neutral dogs but gets intimidated around big guys. If you’re looking to add a large and mellow soul to your family, Finnick might just be your guy.
ADOPTION PROCESS:
Pets are visited by appointment (times are flexible). Please email adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org to arrange a meeting time. This process allows potential adopters to spend adequate time with their prospective pet and prevents long wait times.
All interested parties must fill out an Adoption Application, which will be reviewed to find the best possible match. You can find our application online at: http://www.thepetrescuecenter.org/adopt/adoption-application.html. Completed applications can be submitted online, faxed to (949) 743-5878 or emailed to: adopt@thepetrescuecenter.org
Our adoption fee is $300 for dogs and $150 for cats, and includes spay/neuter, microchip, flea treatment, deworming, veterinary exams, and current vaccinations while in our care. This fee helps to defray the costs incurred for these and other pre-adoption expenses.
The Pet Rescue Center is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose mission is to save the lives of dogs and cats at risk of euthanasia, and is temporarily housed inside the Alicia Pet Care Center at 25800 Jeronimo Rd. Suite 100, Mission Viejo, CA 92691.
