Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Pansy is a rare border collie/snow leopard/english setter mix- in cooler regions known as a English Borderpard- and an extremely hard to find species in our warmer Georgia clime! Pansy is more than just a pretty face, tho. This bright, inquisitive girl has a lot to offer the right home— she enjoys car rides, playing with other dogs, investigating the back yard, or just hanging out with you in the house. Pansy does have a touch of shyness at first meeting, especially with other, larger dogs, but does great after getting to know them, and she enjoys dogs her own size very much. She has really blossomed and enjoys meeting people of all ages. What Pansy does not like, however, is to be left alone during the day, in a crate (as a semi-wild Borderpard, she has a natural disinclination to cages). Pansy gets very anxious when crated while you are gone to work, and ends up injuring herself as she tries to get out of the crate. Her ideal home would include a stay at home parent. Despite her dislike of being crated during the day, Pansy is just about fully house-trained, and sleeps in a crate in your bedroom without problems- but prefers your bed! Short fences are no challenge to Miz Pansy (remember her snow cat heritage)- she jumps them with ease, so a 5-6 ft fence is a must, although she perhaps may enjoy learning to put her jumping skills to good use in an agility arena. Pansy is now about a year old, and weighs in at a petite 35 pounds. Pansy is being fostered with her smaller cat cousins, but she does like to chase them on occasion (just to, you know, keep them on their toes). Pansy is being fostered in Athens, Georgia.
