My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet charming and affectionate Miss Channel! The most adorable, smallest and social bully girl EVER!! A cool and cute mix of black mouth Cur and Staffordshire Terrier, Channel is barely one year old. She weighs only 37lbs and is wise beyond her years. This sweet and smart girl was rescued along with several other “sisters” from high kill Gordon County in the north Georgia Mountains. The girls are were from the same crappy home, but likely not from the same litter. Channel is stocky, affectionate and has the smoothest, softest coat! She does well on a leash and loves every dog and person she meets. She plays well with others and is energetic, active and fun. Channel will be awesome as a partner for runners, joggers and hikers. She loves to play “dress up” and enjoys her sweaters and her raincoats- and loves being outdoors. Channel is quite confident and the friendliest girl you will ever meet, in spite of her lack of “people time” early on. She is learning a lot while in foster care awaiting transport to the northwest on January 9th. She has this great energetic “tap dance” she does when she gets excited…which is every time you walk into the room! She is active and fun and always ready for a car ride a run or game of ball. She will have a great ease with a new family, and she will bond quickly- in spite of the fact that she spend the first part of her live tied up in a yard. It will be like she has known you always. Channel is good with kids and seniors and your other dogs. She is alert and smart and will melt you with his adorable demeanor and funny faces. Channel is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. She is crate trained and house trained and calm in the house. She is in foster care in Georgia until heading west on transport January 6th. Channel will arrive in Washington on January 9th and be ready to go home with you then. Channel can keep up with you whatever you want to do. She has a nice even temper and will make a great family dog and all around good companion. Don’t let that high energy fool you- she will be ready for popcorn and a movie when play time is over…just add her seat to the rest of the family’s. This luckiest girl (and her foster sisters too) is anxious to get out of Georgia and a new life with an active family and training and play time. Don’t let anyone beat you to this little fun, friendly and funky gem of a dog. You better be ready and waiting for her when transport arrives so she can go home with you for a great new year! Channel’s adoption fee is $400 and email Pam at raincityrescue@gmail.com or for an online application go to www.raincityrescue.com (choose the adopt tab)-grab ahold of her and don’t ever let her go!
