N/M, 1 Year, Heeler Mix, Approx. 35 lbs.

Hey everyone, my name is Monkey, and I'm a Heeler/Basenji mix! I'm
currently enrolled in MaxFund's 8-week training program, "Champs,"
with my volunteer personal trainer! Check out my midterm report card:

-- Monkey is a fun-loving athletic teenage boy who lives to please,
and to chase and herd toys, Frisbees, and balls.

-- He's still a work in progress, but he is quickly learning to calm
himself, sit, stay, and look to his trainer for guidance.

-- He might be the smartest one in his class. His career guidance
aptitude test suggests he could be a star at agility.

Yeah, that's me! I'm looking for someone who can keep up with a smart,
high-energy dog like me, and who will help me continue my higher
education. I want to work more on staying calm around other dogs,
especially when they come a little too close to me when I'm on the
leash. I'd love a chance to see how I am alongside friendly dogs in an
off-leash environment. I long to live in a place with a nice (and
high-fenced) backyard, so I can run around and be my Heeler self!

I am quite proud of how far I've come, thanks to Champs and my
trainer. Don't tell her, but if truth be told, I enjoy working for
praise and kind petting/massages as much as those tasty training
treats. Come see me, and let's go for a walk, so we can get to know
each other!
