My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gretchen is an absolute sweet heart who loves to cuddle.

Her story is sad but typical. She was spotted wandering around the La Quinta Cove. She seemed to have no destination. She was so lost as she roamed around the same two block radius in the dark. Several neighbors tried to catch her for several hours. Ultimately catching her ended up being a 5 person effort. She finally tired and hid under Cathy’s rescue van which was slowly following her as she roamed. As we approached her under the van she urinated in terror. We were finally able to get a slip leash over her head after about 15 minutes of group effort. Usually a dog who has just wandered out of their home/yard will return home when pursued. 9/10 times they will immediately begin the “trot of shame” back to the house they came from. Gretchen was so terrified, lost, and confused that we suspect she may have been dumped in the La Quinta Cove. She really behaved as though she was confused and out of place. Gretchen will make a perfect pet for someone. She will love her BFF unconditionally with her whole heart. And she will definitely warm their lap.
