My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Abby! This beautiful girl is approximately 2 years old, house trained and extremely intelligent. Like most herding breeds, Abby needs a home that will provide stimulation and keep her busy. She loves playing with other dogs, would make an excellent running partner, and would excel in an agility class! She currently lives with four large breed dogs and a cat, and has lived with small breed dogs in the past. She is curious about the cat, but is easily redirected.

Abby has experienced abuse at the hands of a male and men can be initially intimidating for her. She warms up immediately to women, and given time, falls in love with patient and kind men as well. Abby would do best with children over 8 as she does have a tendency to jump (which can be easily corrected and worked with through training).

Our process includes an approved application, reference checks, a homevisit and a meet and greet. Please note that preference is given to adopters in Wisconsin, but out of state adoptions will be considered.

Adoption fee is $250 and requires a spay/neuter contract for puppies under 6 months
