Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chance is a 1 year old Cockapoo-Terrier type of fella. He weighs about 18 pounds and is full grown. He has long legs and a big bushy tail. Chance is a sweetheart who came to us from a local animal control facility. He was picked up off the street and his owners never came to reclaim him.
If you want a dog that is all bark and no bite, Chance is your guy! He would be great for someone who lives a quiet lifestyle and has few visitors. He would also be a great protector dog because of his serious bark.
We suspect that Chance has been abused because he is quick to bark and snap at strangers when they first meet. If the stranger stands his or her ground, Chance will slowly approach and when he realizes that the person is not a threat, Chance will push his nose into the person's hand as if to ask for a friendly pat on the head. Similarly, if Chance thinks that a dog is threatening him, he will bark and snap at the dog. Sometimes he pins the dog down, but never bites. He just wants to show that he is boss.
For these reasons we think that Chance must have an experienced adopter. Chance is quick to learn and very friendly and gentle with people he knows. When we pet him, he will quickly roll over for a tummy rub. Chance is all bark and not a biter with us. He loves to play with our 4 month old Terrier mix pup. They chase, play tug of war and chew on each other's tails, legs, etc. Poor Chance is a great dog that had a few too many lessons at the school of Hard Knocks. He needs a second chance to be the dog he was meant to be.
Chance has been neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. His adoption fee is $250.00.
If you are interested in adopting this cutie, please write us at PricelessPets4u@gmail.com and ask for an application to adopt. We are a foster-home based organization, and the adoption process starts when you submit your application. Once that has been approved, we can schedule a time for you to meet this pet.
