Here's what the humans have to say about me:
London is one of those picture perfect Terrier Princesses that will bring seasoned Terrier afficionados to their knees! How could such a darling little girl, wind up homeless in one of the most notoriously high kill animal control facilities in the country? And, here's the shocker: it was her second incarceration! At the age of seven, this unlucky Diva is a rescue veteran.
Apparently, London had passed all her behavior evaluations, and earned herself a spot in the Shelter adoption program. She managed to side step the kennel cough bug, and stay healthy long enough to be adopted. And then, five months later she was returned. This time, she caught the cough, and was headed for the euthansia list, when she came into our orbit.
We can't explain why Little London was dumped twice, but we know that the Terrier vibe is not for everyone. Small Terrier lovers will swoon over this nine pound cutie's charming demeanor. She appears to be an Austalian Terrier, although petite for the breed. She may well have a bit of Yorkshire Terrier in her DNA to account for her tiny stature. London has a wiry black and brown, low maintenance coat, and crisp, well-defined Terrier features.
London would be a great addition to an adult home, comfortable with the intense, tenacious Terrier energy. She is outgoing and friendly to strangers, and greets everyone with a grin and happy tail. London is certainly a Diva, who needs an Alpha leader, willing to make the proper corrections. She will readily overrule the tentative, laid back handler, and definitely will try to rule the roost, if she is not taught to respect boundries.
London is a peppy girl, who needs a couple of brisk daily leash walks, as well as lots of attention and focused playtime. She is a perky little spitfire, who lights up the room when she enters. London has responded well to the basics of Canine Good Citizen Training, as well as leadership and positive reinforcement techniques. London needs adopters willing to continue her training, and help her realize her amazing potential. London is typical Terrier, in that, she needs both mental stimulation and physical activity to keep her calm and balanced.
London is in excellent health, and has been spayed. She has just had a full dental procedure, which cost her some sketchy teeth. Her pre-op bloodwork was normal. She has been vaccinated for rabies and DA2PP (distemper, adrenovirus, parvo and parainfluenza). She has had the 4dx test, and is negative for heartworm, lyme, earlichia and anaplasmosis. She has been microchipped and dewormed. If you are interested in London, please write to Denise@eskiesonline.com or call Denise at 860 908 9738 for more info.
