http://www.valleydogs.org/mesa.html -- My name is Mesa. I am a sweet and loving little girl who was found running on the streets of Phoenix. By my temperament, it is believed I was someone’s pet at one time and for whatever reasons ended up on the streets. A kind lady found me and took me into her home sure someone would come and claim me. When no one did, she reached out to help find me a home as she was unable to keep me.

I am a very loving little girl and enjoy spending my quiet time sitting with you on the couch being doted on. I can be a little shy at first – I’ve been through a lot. However, once I get to know you and the routine of the home, I am a happy little part of it.

I live in a foster home with 5 other dogs and we all get along fine. I have shown absolutely no signs of aggression towards my foster mom or the other foster animals in the home. When one of them is bugging me too much or I don’t want to play, I simply let them know with a short bark and go find a quiet place to rest and all is well. I am potty trained, however I am learning the finer art of walking properly on a lead – it scares me a bit.
