Here's what the humans have to say about me:
PENELOPE was found as a stray hiding under a storage building on the property of one of the rescue's volunteers. That volunteer says Penelope has been wonderful to have. She is a very well-mannered, smart young lady who minds well. She will bark at strangers. She is crate trained and house trained and her foster thinks she will do best in a home where she is challenged to learn more. She has a beautiful honey-colored brindle coat with white markings. She is muscular but on the small side resembling a Whippet. She is one year old and weighs 25 to 30 pounds. She was vetted, vaccinated and spayed. She tested negative for heartworm. She is good with kids and, in fact, would do best with an active family where she can get in lots of play time. She is an energetic pup. If you live in another state, don't let that stand in your way. We will work to transport Penelope if it means she will have a good forever home. If you are another rescue group, we will waive the adoption fee but you can make a donation toward vetting at your discretion. The adoption fee will help our 501(c)(3) non-profit rescue to pay for the veterinary care she has received.
