Here's what the humans have to say about me:
and I'll be there Forever and always I'll be there, till the stars don't shine 'Til the heavens burst and the words don't rhyme I know when I die you'll be on my mind And I'll love you, always Always - from 'Always' by Bon Jovi
'From the first time I saw Jovi I knew she was a very special little girl' - Foster mom
There are as many varied personalities in pups as there are in people......but once in a blue moon you come across 'The One'. In rescue, as foster parents, these are the ones it is hardest to say good bye to, the ones that forever hold a special place in our hearts, the ones like...Jovi. Jovi is a 4 to 5 month old black and silver brindle Mountain Cur/Catahoula mix currently weighing 25 lbs. She has some pretty good sized paws to grow into so we believe she will end up being between 50 to 60 lbs full grown. For starters, the words gorgeous and unique simply don't do justice to either her beauty or personality. She is one of those rae pups who truly lives and loves to be with her people. She is very affectionate but not overbearing. She can love up close and from afar and has the uncanny ability to know which is appropriate at the time. She is as laid back as they come, a true rarity in a pup so young but also common to her Cur genetics. She does not play at being shy, she is calm, confident, and wise. On her fist day in foster she went straight to the doggy door, ran outside, and jumped in the pool for a swim which is what you do in the south when it's hot! Foster mom says she had one accident on her first day and that was it. Not that she needs it, but this would be a good time to point out that she is crate trained. She earned free run of the house almost immediately. Needless to say, she is very intelligent and has wonderful house manners. Jovi quickly grasps and understands her surroundings and how she should behave. Of course she enjoys playtime and toys, as do most puppies, but oh how she loves a good roll in the grass! She even has a little routine by which to properly greet her beloved grass. She gloriously tackles it, throws her head down for a good rub and then the back roll. Ahhhhh!! What could be more refreshing? Well....maybe a good nap or bedtime? Bedtime is a favorite as she has been invited to sleep on the bed with foster mom (Jovi happily accepted). like we said earlier, she is a cuddle and a love bug extraordinaire. Foster mom says she sleep close but not too close, she gives her people their space (unlike some bed hogs we know). Jovi has so many great qualities we are, no doubt, going to forget something. What we won't forget is to let you know that she is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, and current on preventatives. Jovi is ready for the next and most important part of her life journey. She will prove to be loving and loyal all the years of her life. forever and always until the end of her time and even then her people will be her true love and on her mind. So if you have been searching for that one special girl to love forever then the search is over...she's right here.
