Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chandler is that perfect small to medium size dog that is so much fun to hike the Colorado mountains with...and take just about anywhere a sweet, well- behaved family dog is welcome.
Chandler is a 9 - 12 month old, 23 lb very cute and fun-loving guy who is absolutely a pleasure to spend time with. This sweet dog was almost forgotten when his person passed away at home...no one seemed to notice the grieving little dog hiding under the table in the shadows. Chandler was finally scooped up as an afterthought and brought to a high-kill shelter. He gained recognition as a favorite very quickly with the shelter personnel and special efforts were put forth to get this special pup on a transport to a new life in Colorado. It turned out that Chandler had been a neighborhood favorite...wandering the streets and stopping to politely accept treats and hugs. He was known as a sweetie-pie who would always welcome any kindness. Chandler was tagged just in time for rescue with Farfel's and preparations were being made (vetting, temperament testing and neutering) for his long trip to Boulder.
Chandler is currently with a foster mom who adores him. His foster's latest report read as follows: Chandler has become a best friend in a very short time! This medium size Norfolk/Poodle mix (at least that's the consensus on this beautiful dog's breed mix...he's such a smart and teddy-bear kind of best friend) seems to have needed a dear friend for a long time that he can place his complete trust in. My family and I are so thrilled to have Chandler's great and positive energy in our home. My 2 children (12 and 13) have never come home with such cooperation...and even excitement... to take Chandler for a walk and then share their homework time with him inevitably snuggling close. Once Chandler is bonded (it may take a little while...but once he trusts and is comfortable..there's no better companion!) He becomes the most loving dog who is also a natural snuggle bug. I would recommend Chandler wholeheartedly to any fun-loving family with older kids (young children can pull tails and handle a smaller dog roughly...Chandler definitely prefers very gentle handling!) or a retired family who wants a truly great companion dog for themselves and/or their family.
Since Chandler is a perfect medium size pup and the best activity partner ever. He's large enough to accompany me on long and climbing walks, yet small enough to fit perfectly on my bed for a night's sleep. He's a loving, cuddly spirit who deserves the best life has to offer! Chandler is doing really well in her foster home...he's remembering his house skills and is enjoying the excellent socialization this family is providing him with.
Chandler is a non-shedding guy who will require periodic grooming (he's so much more handsome than his shelter photo shows!) and great nutrition to keep his amazing, potentially cotton-soft coat healthy and matt-free.
Chandler will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday morning 8/14/15. If you're interested in this sweet, endearing and often entertaining pup, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com or mail a hard copy to Farfel's Farm 906 Pearl Street Boulder, CO 80302.
