My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Think of your last 10 years. Chances are you had some ups, you had some downs, and through it all there was at least one person with you that experienced it all. Creating an unmistakable bond. Maybe things weren’t always the best, but they were what you knew. And you probably found comfort in the routine. Now imagine one day you woke up thinking it was just another day in your life, and by the time the day ended, you were in a complete unfamiliar place, taken from the only people you knew. How would you react?



This was Layla’s reality. For 10 years she was someone’s pet and then one day that person decided she didn’t want Layla to “hold her back” anymore. Despite this, Layla is still so full of hope and love. She is wonderful with people and prefers to be close. She also does very well with other dogs. Layla is at her happiest when she can chase the ball for a while (don’t tell this spunky girl she’s a senior!) and then snuggle up on the couch. We had a full workup done on her, and the vet says she is in wonderful shape. She’s also the perfect package – already housetrained and cratetrained. All Layla needs now is a couch to crash on for the rest of her life. She’ll repay you with all the love and laughter you could hope for.
