Rani (short for maharani, which means ‘queen’ in Hindi) is an adorable 6-month-old, 25-lb girl rescued from the streets of New Delhi, India. She has never known the joys of a home life with forever people. But soon she will.

Beautiful Rani, who looks like a small doberman mix, was actually dumped in a trio of puppies when they were just a mere 5 weeks old outside a dog boarding facility (Happy Paws) in New Delhi, India. They were thin and sickly-looking from malnourishment.

Tragically, the littlest sister could not be brought back from the brink of malnutrition, and passed away shortly after being dumped. However, under Arti’s careful guidance and care at Happy Paws Medical Boarding in New Delhi, India, both Raja and Rani not only survived – but after treatment, nutritious food, supplements, and tons of TLC – thrived!

They have lovely, sweet temperaments. They adore human attention and are very affectionate. Rani enjoys being with other dogs. One of her favorite pastimes is chasing balls and playing chase with other dogs. Rani is very sweet, quite affectionate, and easy-temperament, mild-mannered puppies.

This adorable pair flew to Chicago on July 1st to find their forever homes and are now being fostered in Wonder Lake, IL (NW Suburb of Chicago).
