My story

Kenny will be a year old next month! He is an 11 lb. Jindo-Mix Kenny was rescued from a dog meat truck in Korea by a local rescue who asked DCAR if we could take him into our care. He is a super sweet boy who is good with other dogs and children, loves to wrestle and play like a puppy. He has a great personality and will sit on his hind legs and beg for his food! On his down time you will find Kenny curled up next to you.

We currently adopt in the states of CA, NY, NJ, PA, DE, and MD. We cannot accept applications from other states at this time.

All of our rescues are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies and DHPP, heartworm tested, treated for worms and fleas and most are microchipped.

We are not a shelter, we are 100% volunteer public charity. All of our dogs are in foster homes until they are adopted. Since we are not a shelter, we do not receive government funding. We are a public charity that relies solely on funds through our adoption fee, fundraisers, and private donations. Since we are 100% volunteer based, all funds collected go directly towards the rescue and vet costs of our dogs.

We take each rescue personally and spend a lot of effort trying to match the right dog to the right family. Thank you for considering one of our rescued dogs.
