My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dawn is a 10 year old spayed female Chow Chow mix. She is already totally housetrained! She is a large sized dog with low/medium energy. She would do best as the only animal in the house and without small children. She loves to play ball and go for walks. Come down to the shelter and see if you can give this senior lady a forever home for her golden years!

$150 Adoption Fee for all Dogs and Puppies. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, a heartworm/lymes test (for adults), microchip, and all age appropriate vaccinations. (Puppies are too young for the test but will be started on preventative.)

SHELTER HOURS: 1:00pm – 6:00pm Tuesday - Thursday; 12:00pm – 4:00pm Friday and Saturday; 1pm-4pm Sunday; Closed Monday. We welcome adoptions from people living out of the area or outside the state of Virginia. The application process is completed in person at the shelter.
