My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Maggie is a 22lb, 1YO, Lhasa Apso mix.

Maggie was dumped at a high kill shelter in Houston, Texas because her owners decided that having a dog was too much work. You could tell that they had never properly taken care of her because she was so matted and dirty. She just had a look in her eyes of pure desperation to get out of the shelter.

Now that Maggie is in a warm and loving foster home she has really started to blossom. Here is what her foster had to say about her: "Maggie is a super sweetie!! She is great with our dog Gracie! She love to play with dog toys (especially stuffed ones) and often tries to get Gracie to play with her. She is playful but also loves to sit on the couch with you and cuddle. She sleeps through the night, no problems (I think she would stay in bed all day if she could)! She seems pretty potty trained once she understands her environment. We take her out to potty semi often and just yesterday she walked to the door as a sign to be taken out! She does not shed, we had her groomed the day after we picked her up because her hair was so matted. She enjoys walks but is still getting used to not pulling on the leash because she finds walks just so exciting and new! She is a so sweet and would do great with any dog or person!
Since she is a none shedding dog, she will need to be groomed regularly to make her feel happy and free like she does right now.

Maggie is just looking for someone to finally love and take care of her the way she deserves because she has so much love and snuggles to give back!
