Spring Valley Police found this sweet old puppy dog wandering down Voss Road in Houston all by himself. My vet clinic kept him for a few weeks, while we tried to find his owners and heal some wounds. But we had no such luck. This poor baby was in bad shape and probably needs to find a new loving home anyway. When first found, he was absolutely covered in fleas, was found to be very heartworm positive, and had a horrible wound on one toe (which caused him to walk with only 3 legs for several weeks). The wound is now healed up, the fleas are gone, and he is currently on Heartguard for his heartworm treatment. My vet clinic vaccinated, neutered, and performed a dental cleaning on this sweet boy in order to prepare him for his new forever home. Will that be yours??? He is maybe 10-12 years old, and simply needs to find a loving home to live out the next few retirement years in happiness and comfort. He is extremely well behaved (almost never gives a gruff “old man bark” at all), great with other dogs and children, house-trained, crate-trained, and very affectionate and loving. I wish I could keep him myself, but we already have 2 large dogs of our own (each about 90lbs themselves!).
