Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Oh, my goodness, we have the most delightful litter of puppies!! They were born 11/28/14 to a 15 pound wire haired Doxie that their foster mom rescued shortly before she gave birth so they have just turned four months old. They have had the best of care and are very happy, playful, loving and socialized. There were eight puppies total and they are all super cute and totally irresistible!
We think that dad may have been a Jack Russell or Fox Terrier since many of the pups have the most charming scruffy faces and fur. Maybe he was a Schnauzer. We really do not know but we bet he was really cute, like mom.
All of the puppies love to run and play with each other and with the other dogs of all sizes in their foster home. They adore toys and share beautifully. All of them love snuggles after a session of fun, and enjoy being held and carried. They are all comfortable with being touched and cuddled and really just cannot get enough of human love. They are all great with other dogs and would really enjoy being adopted into a home with a companion dog but would also be fine as an only dog.
The pups have had three sets of shots and have been dewormed. They will be spayed or neutered before adoption. The four remaining pups are doing wonderfully with their housetraining and are used to going out on the porch to use puppy pads. Since they are so young, they will, of course, need more potty training and training to a new routine in your home. They are all crate trained. They still need to be leash trained.
Foster mom named this little girl Slick because she has the most beautiful glossy black fur as opposed to her wiry siblings. Most of her coat is soft and straight, but she has the loveliest waves along the middle of her back and tail.
She is a petite 10 pounds currently and will be a small adult. She likes to play with her siblings and with the other dogs in her foster home but she is not a high energy gal. She loves to take naps snuggling with her people and values cuddling and affection above wild play.
Sweet little Slick promises to be a delightful companion who will enjoy staying close by your side and impress you with her kind and loving nature. She would enjoy having another pup to play with in her new home but could also be an only dog. Since she is a little girl, she would probably do best with older, respectful children if there are children in her new home.
