Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet fantastic Cokie! He is just the cutest bundle of joy and happy smiles! Cokie is a mix of we think Husky and hound, full of energy and wiggles, this great boy so deserves a wonderful family in Washington! Cokie was rescued from high kill Gordon County shelter in north Georgia. He has been patiently waiting for a new home, trying to stay positive and happy in boarding for close to a year(!). He was pulled from the shelter with a broken leg and it got set right away. But they waited too long to take the splint off and now his leg is permanently stiff. It doesn’t affect how or what he does- and most of the time it is not even noticeable. There is an overabundance of dogs in Georgia and not enough adopters, so the RAIN girls are shipping him off to the northwest. You will complete his journey when you make him your own! Cokie is a young dude- between 12 and 18 months. He weighs only 30lbs. He’s a lanky but solid boy, a great play partner! For you and your other dog. Cokie has terrific ears that stand up- but not in any of the pic I took! Cokie is super affectionate, and a real bundle of fun. He will love your walks, trips to the dog park or beach or wherever you go! Findley gets along great with other dogs, loves to play with big and little dogs. He is good with kids, and loves the games that kids will play with him. He loves toys and fetch and just hanging out with you. We’ve not seen Cokie with cats, so slow introduction, as always. Cokie knows basic commands, is an excellent car rider and he is crate trained. Cokie is calm and good in the house and good in his crate. He can be trusted in the house, not a chewer and will be calm and quiet when you give him his “place” command. Though he’s had basic training, Cokie would love it if you would take him to an advanced class so you can all get on the same page. This super fun and friendly Findley will fit right in wherever he goes when he arrives February 21th in Seattle. Cokie is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He can’t wait to give you kisses and show you how he gets along great even with a stiff leg- don’t hold that against him as it’s not his fault and he is even more deserving of your great home. Please apply online at www.raincityrescue.com (choose adopt tab) or email Pam for questions at raincityrescue@gmail.com. His adoption fee is $400 and Cokie can’t wait to meet you and start his new and much overdue new life!
