Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hello. Nice to meet you. I am Lego. I am approximately 2 to 3 years old and
weigh around 20 pounds.
The people here at the rescue received an emergency call late one
evening about me. I had been found hit by a car. I was
rushed to the vet's office and cared for. I had a dislocated hip and
the other back leg was broken. They fixed me up and after several
days of wonderful care at the vet's office I came to the rescue to finish up the healing process. I am
doing great in foster care! The sling for my dislocated hip has been removed and
the stitches on the broken, pinned leg came out! I am finally free and up and about! I do still limp on the broken leg occasionally. It will take time, but I am still healing and doing well.
SO now I am ready for a new home.
I am shy at first meeting. I may rumble a bit, but that is because
I am protective of myself. Once I know you mean no harm
I am all about the love and attention. I want petted and my belly
rubbed! I will talk to you and let you know I am there just in case
you didn't notice. I am not loud about it. I use my inside voice.
I will love sitting on your lap and getting all that lovin'. If you stop
petting my I will nose your hand till you start again. I will let you
know when I have to go outside. I do bark when someone comes to the
house and the other dogs bark, but I am not yappy. I enjoy taking leisurely
walks and understand that they are helping to build up strength in my back legs. I would prefer to
live with grownups and maybe older children. I am afraid little ones
might fall on me or do something that might hurt me again and I would
be scared. So far I am not much for playing but I still am on the
mend. I am a sweet, happy, pretty girl and I am just hoping for a
family all my own! OH and I get along well with other dogs, and cats
are OK critters too! If you are looking for a sweetie like me
please call real soon. I sure would like to meet you!
PS: Just a bit of an update folks. My splint is off and I am starting to use my leg. I still limp sometime. More from habit. When I am not thinking about it though I do use it! More and more all the time!
