AVAILABLE 12-07-14 Sweet little Sky was given to "a friend" about 3 weeks ago, who brought her to the Shelter because he could no longer care for her. Sky is only 8 months old, so she is still a playful, teething, energetic puppy. He said that she is mostly housetrained which she has proven to be true here at the Shelter as she keeps her cage pretty clean and is always ready to go for a walk. Sky seems to be a wirehaired Schnauzer/Dachshund Mix with the cutest face. She rode on our float in the Christmas Parade and sat quietly on the volunteer's lap through the entire parade. She was fine with all of the other dogs and people on the float. Sky is now up to date on her shots and has been dewormed. If you've been looking for a little lap dog - Please come to the Shelter in Elizabeth City and meet Sky - she might be the next canine member of your family.
