My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Spanky is a 10 month old Japanese chin/ Peke mix. he was taken from his owner as a neglect case- when we got him he had thousands of fleas on him. But he loves everyone he meets, great with all the dogs and ignores the cats-wants to play with them since he is in a home with a 120 pound dog that he is in love with and they play all the time!!! He is house trained- has never had an accident in my home- he will bark if he has to potty. He is now neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, groomed, vaccinated and microchipped. The rescue pays the microchip enrollment fee. His eyes are peke eyes- they kind of look different- but they are normal for his breed. He loves to go outside and play in the leaves. He is one of the kindest dogs we have had- just so gentle. He can be crated- but he would much rather sleep in bed with his family!! He is not destructive at all- will collect toys and take to his bed. I dont think he ever owned a toy so is starting to love to play with them and act like a puppy. He will run in circles he is just so happy to be in a place where he is clean and safe. He will make an older person or any family a great pet. He is silly as all get out- he loved our old Rottweiler and will climb on his head to get warm. The cuddle at night to sleep. If interested email Karen at rotsaver@aol.com for an application.
