Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Our 60-pound country girl, Marley, has the disposition of her namesake with none of the quirky antics. Marley has just graduated “boot camp” and is ready to assume her rightful position as a valued family member. Our version of boot camp is a 4-6 week stay at a local volunteer’s property where the shelter dogs can be assessed and problem areas addressed. When Marley first arrived, she could not navigate a steep set of stairs (challenging to some humans, too) and would wait for the foster to come get her when going either up or down. Now she flies up and down the stairs with ease. After playing outside, she comes in the house, goes immediately to her blanket and settles down to watch TV. Marley is about 3 yrs old , is UTD on all shots, and is HW negative. She is good on a leash, likes to ride in the car and absolutely ADORES swimming. She gets along with dogs of all sizes and even seems to have a calming influence on them, as she is quiet and rarely barks. She is housebroken and seems to respond well to commands. In fact, the foster said she actually does better when given a command, as if she prefers instruction.
We are hoping Marley can find a home with someone who is active and likes to exercise. She would dearly love a visit to the beach or lake and would probably have no hesitation with a swimming pool. We can test her in both areas if that is an issue for a potential adopter. If you think Marley should be your calming influence, please copy and attach this link to your web browser to fill out our online application, http://members.petfinder.com/~CT243/sampleform.html. Full vetting included in her $325 adoption fee and transport from Louisianna is $185.We cannot be certain what her true mix is.
