Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Troy arrived at Horse Creek on September 24, 2012. Troy, his brother (Ulysses), and another unrelated dog were found on a busy highway by a woman on her way to work. Fearing they could be run over, the woman loaded them in her car and took them to the shelter. Troy and Ulysses were very shy and very bonded with each other when they first arrived. We have introduced them to other dogs and puppies of all shapes, sizes and ages. They have adapted very well. They still enjoy playing with each other, but they have new friends as well. Troy has adjusted to his new surroundings. He will need to adjust once again to a family and a new home. He will blossom very quickly into a wonderful, lifelong companion. Troy's birthday is April 24, 2012.
All of our dogs are spayed or neutered and current on all vaccinations. They receive monthly heartworm and flea/tick prevention. All of their medical needs are taken care of before they are available for adoption. Our adoption fee is $100.00. Please complete an application, if you have found a dog you are interested in adopting. You can find our application at www.horsecreekwildlife.org/applic.html. Once completed, you can forward it to adoptions@horsecreekwildlife.org or fax it to 731-926-3000. Kim Austin, our adoption facilitator, will be in contact with you as soon as she has an opportunity to review your application. Understand that she has other duties and she will not ignore any interest shown in adopting one of our dogs. An application will need to be approved before a scheduled time to visit our dogs will be set up. It may take up to 48 hours before she returns your call or responds to your email, due to work schedules, holidays and adoption events. We do the very best we can for the dogs we have rescued and do not take the adoption process lightly. Please be patient and understand that we will place our rescued dogs in the very best homes possible and reserve the right to refuse applications.
