My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Barney is a beautiful Greyhound/Lab/Boxer mix who is about 2 years old. His foster mom says he is the mellowest dog she has ever met! This sweet boy is fully housebroken, good with cats, and other dogs of all sizes-he especially gets along well with the lady dogs and adult, mellower canines. He would also be perfectly happy as an only dog. He likes other dogs but doesn't require their company to be happy. He is crate trained but there is no needs to crate Barney- his foster mom just leaves him loose in her house when she isn't home and Barney doesn't touch a thing. He just naps on the couch.

Barney loves every human he meets. He walks nicely on a leash and rarely pulls. He rides wonderfully in the car and loves to visit places like Petsmart. Barney is extremely polite and only barks if someone comes to the door.The only time he ever gets really rowdy is when you first come home and he is happy to see you. The only thing he seems to dislike is having a bath...but he will tolerate it with lots of whining and sad faces. His short coat is very similar to that of a boxer and he doesn't need much grooming at all.

Barney would make a great therapy dog. He would also be perfect for a first time dog owner or a busy family who wants a wonderful companion but doesn't have the time and energy for puppy training. If you work all day and want buddy who will wait patiently for you to come home and snuggle with you all night once you are there, Barney is the dog for you! Barney would also be happy to go hiking, camping, watching tv, or whatever else you want to do with him. He loves people and really just wants to please!
