My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Merlin is absolutely fabulous! Not only is he unbelievably adorable, he has the sweetest personality! This precious little man was picked up stray by a local animal control and never reclaimed, luckily he was seen by one of our volunteers and here he is, ready to start his new life.

Since his background is unknown to us we are taking a guess at his lineage and think Merlin may be a Cairn Terrier mix. He appears to be a very young adult, maybe 12 months old at the most. He is neutered and current on vaccinations as are all our dogs. Merlin could use a little weight but aside from that he is in great condition.

In our care Merlin has gotten along with all the other dogs, cats and humans. He is so very loving and the perfect lap size. Aside from being an angel Merlin is extremely intelligent and should adapt to new house rules very quickly.

Cairn Terriers were originally bred to dig and hunt small prey, Merlin has not been exposed to a yard that he could possibly dig out of and will have to be watched since we do not know how he found himself stray and wandering. He will need a secure area for his outdoor time and plenty of things to do to occupy his terrier side. Intelligence and loyalty are trademarks of this breed, we just know Merlin is going to make a wonderful companion for some lucky person or family!
