Pepper is a Pomeranian with maybe Border Collie mix, about 3 years old and weighs 25# - a great little dog.
Pepper was surrendered by a mature gentleman who has a habit of “collecting” too many dogs. Per the gentleman (and the local animal control staff who has been there before over the years) Pepper is approximately three years old and weighs about 25 lbs. Pepper was with over 20 dogs and appears to get along with other dogs. He did not seemed fazed by the fosters cat. When the foster went to check him out at the shelter he gave doggie kisses to her and she knew she was going to get him out of what is an extremely overcrowded shelter. The shelter was so full in fact that all the dogs were doubled up and he had been placed in a kennel with a Mastiff and they were getting along quite well. Pepper seems shy and a little scared at first but has warmed up quickly. Pepper weighs 25 pounds and appears to be a mix of border collie and Pomeranian. He was just recently neutered so he has a little bit of a shave job but he has a lot of coat and will need a family willing to brush him. He did not have much socializing at his former home but he seems to know his name and enjoys attention. He sat quietly at the shelter with over ten people and lots of commotion and noise for over twenty minutes waiting for his jailbreak.
Anyone interested in our dogs must be over 21. We are only able to adopt to homes within a reasonable driving distance of the dog's foster home and please be prepared for a home visit by one of our volunteers. We do not adopt on first-come-first-served basis, we want to make sure the dog is right for the family and vice versa based on what we know about the dog's personality, habits and behaviors.
