My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

If you are seeing this dog on this site he is available so there is no need to email us checking for availability. Consequently we will not respond to emails asking if the dog is available. Instructions for meeting this dog are provided below.

Meet Skip, an adorable, very sweet puppy who was born on around April 12, 2014. As of July 8th was 32 pounds. Dante was an owner surrender from Southern Illinois from an accidental litter. Mom is a 110 pound pure bred Great Pyrenees and Dad is an 85 pound purebred Boxer. The good news is mom is now spayed so no more puppies! Skip is being fostered in a South Naperville home around other dogs, cats and children and is great with them all. Skip is very mellow and very laid back. He loves lounging around looking adorable. He would not make a good dog for a farm if you are looking for a herding dog given his gentle, calm nature.

Skip is going to be a big dog. Our guess is 85-120 pounds. A fenced in yard is required (no electronic fences please). He is a very sweet, laid back boy who is going to make a wonderful pet for any family lucky to adopt him. He is FABULOUS with children and is extremely smart. Pyrenees/Boxer is a fabulous mix. We do not feel an apartment or condo living is a suitable home for him given the size he will likely grow to be. If you are gone all day a puppy is not the right match for you.

If you think this pup would fit perfectly into your family, please fill out our Adoption application which can be found on our website at www.angelsonwheels.org. An approved adoption application is required prior to making an appointment for a meet and greet. We do not have a physical building for you to visit thus the reason an application is required prior to making an appointment. Thank you for your understanding and patience!

The adoption fee of $350.00 includes: The neutering which is already done, microchip, up-to-date on routine vaccination for distemper-adenovirus-parainfluenze-parvo, rabies vaccinated if over 4 months, dewormed with panacur, treated with revolution and front line plus, leash and collar, and any other medical needs.

You will also receive a free office visit to one of our participating vets for a free health exam.

Thank you for looking at our rescued animals!
