Shiloh is a beautiful, 4-year-old, 75 pound bearded collie/poodle mix. He was rescued from a neglectful environment after his owner passed away. He has been fostered for the past five months with a family that has three dogs. He gets along well with other dogs and is sociable with people. Shiloh loves to play fetch and go for long walks and hikes. He needs lots of exercise.

He is overall a calm, mellow, dog but has had no formal training to teach him how to walk on a leash or how to act when excited. His new family will need to provide this training.

He would be best in a home where his owners are active people, maybe hikers or bikers, who will take him along. A single person, a couple or a family with children who are at least 7 or 8 (because of his size) and another dog to play with would be perfect. He has been professionally evaluated by the Medfield Animal Shelter and a trainer. According to the trainer, all he needs is a couple of training sessions and he will be just a great dog!
