My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Frankie! This little cutie is a doll! He is a 4-1/2 year old Basenji / Corgi mix, is a lean & solid 35 lb "low-rider", and is very sweet. He walks well on a leash, is good with other dogs (currently living & playing at a doggie daycare), and prefers older kids (12+). Frankie is a fabulous dog who is super fun, would be amazing at agility (bounces straight up and down when he's excited), and is very loving & loyal. He can sometimes be skittish when new people come into his home, so he needs an experienced dog guardian who understands that exercise and boundaries are key to behavior and will give Frankie consistent exercise, mental stimulation (he's super smart), and lots of love. He's kind of a bump on a log, but does like to go on long walks. He's the best snuggling companion after a good workout and he's looking for his Forever Family - could YOU be the lucky one for him???

NOTE: Training is mandatory for all LLR Adoptables. Also, we do NOT adopt out of state. Our range is no further than 50 miles from Chicago. This is because we PERSONALLY do home visits for every single dog / puppy. Exceptions ONLY in certain cases where a sweetie has special issues (medical / behavioral / special needs) or we have had him / her for a longer time. We will then travel to the Moon for a Forever Family!
