Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Paddie! After being adopted in 2014 Paddie is now back and came to use late October 2018 after being found as a stray in not great shape. So sad for this sweet girl who’s only 5 years old & still has a playful spirit and love to share. She’s spayed and current on shots and has been treated for fleas so hopefully her hair will fill back in nicely. We do know that she LOVES being around her people and that if left alone outside away from them she will try to escape to find them. She also is good with cats. She SOOOOOOO DESERVES A HAPPILY EVER AFTER!! Her original story: This beautiful 1 1/2 year old girl arrived at the shelter on April 24, 2014 after she was pulled from another shelter to make space and we had it to give. She seems like she is good with other dogs and came into the shelter with another dog, Wizzer who has now been adopted. She loves being around her human friends and will soak up all the TLC you have to share with her. She is very sweet, loving, and has a good disposition. She probably has not had much leash or obedience training, but is a smart girl who will learn quickly and is eager to please. Come to the shelter and meet sweet Paddie and give her a chance at a loving forever home she deserves!
UPDATE: PADDIE IS NOW IN THE NEW LEASH ON LIFE TRAINING PROGRAM. SHE IS ADOPTABLE NOW AND YOU CAN GO TO THE PROGRAM AND SEE HER. SHE WILL BE THERE FOR 8 WEEKS STARTING ON MAY 7, 2014.
If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance.
The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5, Sat. 10-2, and on Sunday during the spring and summer from 11-3. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home.
