My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Shelby spent months in a shelter and is in foster care waiting for her forever home. Shelby is a German Shorthair Pointer--Springer mix and she is really a nose with a great dog attached!!! Her favorite activity is sniffing, and she is quiet on the hunt. She has had some training on an electric collar for recall. Shelby is about 2 years old and weighs 42 pounds. Shelby is a wonderful, sweet, lovable dog who is great with kids of all ages as long as they don't bother her when she is sleeping. She is also fine with cats and dogs. She is very much an outdoor dog and can scale a 6 foot chain link fence so an electric fence system would be perfect for her. Shelby has been professionally trained and is very dependably house trained, crate trained, leash trained and obedience trained. Even though sniffing is her favorite pastime, she is a good family dog too and loves to snuggle up with the kids. Shelby would love a rural home where she could spend lots of time outside. SHE REQUIRES an electric fence (wired or wireless) so she she will not follow her nose to the Land of Oz! She is spayed, up to date on shots, heartworm negative and on preventive. Her adoption fee is $200 through her 501c3 rescue.
