Romeo is located in Algonquin, IL

Hi there, my name is Romeo. I'm about 9 months old. When I was a small puppy I looked like a Jack Russell, but now that I'm older (and weigh about 40 pounds), I probably have some other breeds in me, probably lab. But, since no one knows my mommy and daddy, that is just a guess. Foster mom says I'm a Valentine's Day foster--I have a heart shape on the top of my head.

I was found as a stray in Chicago, and brought to animal control. I was clowning around in my cage when the IAR volunteers saw me. A lot of dogs at animal control are scared and shaking when they see new people...but I just jumped out of my cage and wanted to play.

Foster mom says I'm super sweet--I love to cuddle and give kisses. I also have a LOT of energy--luckily there is another dog in the house I can play with. There are also kitties, but I don't bother them. I'm learning so many new things, including sit and paw. I also am housetrained.

I would be best in an active house and/or with another dog that I can play with. I have so much energy (and so many kisses!)

All dogs are spayed or neutered, microchipped, current on their vaccinations, heartworm tested if age appropriate; treated for fleas/ticks and urgently awaiting adoption!
