Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
I found a new home! Plenty of my friends are looking for one too. Check out other pets at this shelter, or start a new search.

Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi my name is Sophia. I am a female, Border Collie, Pointer of mixed Mix Breed who is approximately 1+ year old. I came to the Animal Center with my playmate Trixie. Our owner could no longer care for us but we were well taken care: we most likely received medical attention as well as heartworm and flea/tick prevention. We're very friendly and outgoing dogs and enjoy each other's company. We would love to be adopted together but if not, I'm sure we would fit in any environment as long as we have companionship. PLEASE NOTE, Trixie has been adopted and now Sophia is waiting for her forever home. Please use the ID number when inquiring about this animal. At the Animal Center of Moore County, it is our goal to become a no kill shelter as that term is defined by the Humane Society of the U.S. Although we have one of the highest adoption rates in the state, we are still forced to euthanize far too many adoptable animals. You can help us accomplish our goal by adopting your next four-legged family member from here. Your adoption fee includes: heartworm test, 1st shots, deworming, micro-chip and spay/neuter. Become a Fan of the Animal Center of Moore County on Facebook The Center adoption hours are Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:45 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.
