Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Fletcher is a 5.5 year old Italian Greyhound/Rat Terrier mix. He is a very social little guy who does great with other dogs and gets along with cats. He has never met a stranger and loves to make new friends. Fletcher is house trained but does not really like being crated; he is allowed to be loose in the bedroom while his foster family is away and does well with this (he does not get into or tear anything up). He is a high jumper and can run very fast; he would do best with a 5-6' fence or supervised time outside. He does walk nicely on a leash and would be an excellent walking/jogging companion. Fletcher does have a grain allergy and should be kept on a grain free food which is inexpensive and easily purchased at any pet store. Fletcher's favorite hobbies include snuggling under blankets, looking out the window, fetching tennis balls, lounging on the back of the sofa and watching/chasing the squirrels up in the trees. He is very much a lap dog and does not mind being held; he will even wrap his front paws around your shoulders and "hold on". Fletcher knows how to "sit" and will come when called; because he's a smart boy, he could easily learn other commands/tricks. He has a great smile ... a toothy grin, common in Italian Greyhounds, which he will display when he is very excited. He is a little clown, full of personality and will always keep you laughing! Fletcher would do well in most any home and, although we have not had him around children, we believe he is easy going enough that he would do fine with them as well. Fletcher is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on all vaccines. If you think he could be just the boy you've been looking for, please mention him on your adoption application. Fletcher's adoption fee is $150.
