Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lady is a Jack Russell terrier and Papillon mix who is incredibly special and easy to love. Her foster mom describes her as maybe the sweetest dog she's ever met. Lady has the petite stature and pretty coloration of Papillon, combined with the face and intelligence of a Jack Russell. Her soft coat is low-maintenance and hardly sheds at all. Lady is very clever and learns quite quickly. She is also totally housebroken and has never had an accident in her foster mom's house. She gets along very well with other dogs and also with cats. Most of all, she loves children. She is shy at first and very gentle, but warms up quickly once you show her a little affection. she is very patient and friendly with kids.
Lady loves to cuddle and prefers to be by her human's side at all times. At her foster mom's house, Lady decided she preferred to cuddle next to her foster mom day and night. She would love to sleep under the covers in bed with you if you will let her, but she waits to be invited before jumping on the bed. She will sleep on the floor or in a dog bed if you ask her to get down. Lady is a calm and dainty girl with very good manners, though she loves to give kisses
she does not beg for or steal food. In fact, she is a little on the submissive side with food, so if you have other dogs who are more dominant, you will need to make sure she has the chance to get enough food. She prefers to “graze” rather than eat her meals all at once, so it is best to have food available to her at all times if possible. Lady has excellent leash manners and is very polite. She does bark when someone new comes to the door, but otherwise, she doesn't bark much at all. Lady can be left out in the house without accidents and has never shown the desire to chew inappropriately or to be destructive. Still, it would be great if she wasn't alone too often, because Lady absolutely thrives on human affection.
Lady is a very special dog who is incredibly deserving of a loving forever home where she can truly be a part of the family. She has so much to offer and only asks to be loved and cared for in return. Lady would be a wonderful dog for an older person, a family with kids, a first-time dog owner, or just about anyone. She would be happy to be an only dog or to have other animal friends. The most important thing to Lady is that she have a lap to warm and someone to love.
