My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I’m an Akita/Alaskan Husky Mix, which are two very strong willed breeds. I am a 2 month old puppy looking for a responsible home. I will need a confident owner who is firm with my training but gentle with my handling. I will need to be signed up for positive rewards based training before my adoption can be finalized. I am highly intelligent and already know how to sit and play fetch! Since I have a lot of energy, I will need to be exercised daily, especially as an adult. I can cover miles every day and need someone to keep up with me. A home with northern breed experience would be much more appropriate for me. It is very important that I'm kept well socialized with other dogs and new people all my life. I will grow up to become very protective of my home and family. If this is not dealt with properly, I could become an aggressive dog who feels the need to protect all the time, even with friends of the family. If you think you have the knowledge and experience to help me grow up to be a well-adjusted dog, please stop by the shelter to meet me.
