Lil Buddy Rescue

Animal rescue in Mineral, VA

In 2014 Lil Buddy Rescue came about after I was able to connect with rescue teams that aid me getting homeless animals into good homes. On average, I care for 600 animals in my home every year. Many of the animals are suffering when I get them, they need food, shelter, and medical care. I Unfortunately I get very few community donations and have had to rely on social media groups and friends. We depend on the donations from people like you to help us get by.
I have achieved my goal to become 501c3 status so I can do even more here in my rural community.
God gave me a deep Love for animals at a very young age that lead me to care for the animals that are abandoned and left to die on the back roads here in West Virginia.

Additional adoption info

Adopting a pet is a SERIOUS COMMITMENT. We strongly encourage anyone thinking about adding a furry member to their family do their homework before taking on this 10-20 year commitment. Please check the knowledge center.

In our Adoption Agreement, we require that every animal be spayed/neutered (if not prior to adoption) by a specific date. This is VERY important as the overpopulation of dogs and cats in our country is a sad result of too many unplanned litters! If for any reason the match is not as perfect as we all had hoped, the pet must be returned to lil buddy rescue and NOT given away or turned into a shelter.
The Adoption Fees range from 150.00 - 300.00 dollars, depending on type of animal and the vetting received. Our adoption fees are set to allow us to cover our expenses as well as to help other animals in our program that require additional care. Our fees cover vetting costs, shelter fees, and fuel for transport. All money from adoption fees goes to help those animals who may require additional care. Rarely does the adoption fee cover the costs we have invested in each of these rescued pets.
